Loaded norton and was never able to get past the blue screen again....formatted and reloaded everything, but go back is still there and the computer (compaq 2170us) goes to the blue screen all the time.

7.7Although the System Restore utility built into Windows XP is nice, Norton GoBack 4.0 delivers a lot more control and flexibility, making your PC almost glitch-proof.

Why do so many (virtually all) software packages think that they are so important that they have to be started automatically every time the computer boots? What is the largest number of "speed access", "update check", "camera download" and whatever other background programs you have ever seen running? Of those, how many did you really need?
