Crap

it did of course kill my total HD. overwrite the partition table with zeroes, then after running the restore utility it would claim it could not restore so i had to copy the MBR back. guess what.... I lots all data ... duhhh (stupid me didn't google before installing). Anyway, hot the fuck can this product get a 7.7 from ZD net???? did they get a PC preinstalled with goback or something? anyway better look at: http://www.horizondatasys.com/169614.ihtml for goback like software. if you just installed goback, and reinstalled. just run http://www.recovermyfiles.com/ to save everything that is savable. anyway, i will never trust symantec to make software that at least tries not to fuck up my system, so -> syymantec is from now on in the list of Nimda, CodeRed & Sub7

Verdict

Although the System Restore utility built into Windows XP is nice, Norton GoBack 4.0 delivers a lot more control and flexibility, making your PC almost glitch-proof.

Featured Talkback

Why do so many (virtually all) software packages think that they are so important that they have to be started automatically every time the computer boots? What is the largest number of "speed access", "update check", "camera download" and whatever other background programs you have ever seen running? Of those, how many did you really need?
