Saved me from a BSOD!

An excellent piece of kit, the equivalent of having your own IT Support Department at home. Booted up the other day and was confronted with a Blue Screen Of Death (BSOD). GoBack has a feature to cause it to load prior to the actual operating system, so I entered the pre-boot GoBack menus and restored my system to a point about 20 hours earlier and was able to boot into XP with no problems.

One word of caution: the GoBack drive history can be lost after massive application installs (such as a service pack), and it can take up to 2 hours to re-image the drive. Other than that, absolutely no problems and a seriously worthwhile investment. My local computer store charges £70 min for a BSOD repair and this saved me from that.

Verdict

Although the System Restore utility built into Windows XP is nice, Norton GoBack 4.0 delivers a lot more control and flexibility, making your PC almost glitch-proof.
