Poor product

This product has a poor detection rate 41% and even poorer removal rate 27%. I bought a 98se 2 years ago, it had spyware on it. I got and ran both spybot and ad-aware. Spybot found like 8 spyware, ad-aware 3. Still had problems with spyware. Bought and ran Pest Patrol, it found like 230 pest that both spybot and ad-aware missed. That's quite a bit they missed. Today I have Pest Patrol, Spy Sweeper, Aluria and Spy Catcher. Spybot doesn't come close to any of them. If all your using is Spybot for spyware removal, odds are you still have spyware on your system. Even though they've updated it since then, it was mostly a cosmetic upgrade and language upgrade. I have it still and when I do updates it's mostly a language update. That's not going to help detect and remove spyware. Although it's free, my hat is off to them for that, free doesn't make it a good spyware removal tool.

Verdict

Spybot blows the venerable Ad-aware out of the water when it comes to protecting you against ad-serving software.
