Convenient and feature-rich
The product does an excellent job of controlling outbound traffic. If a new or repeat program wants to use the Net your choices are 1) Let it go this time, 2) Block it this time, 3) Always let it go, 4) Always block.
These choices give you the best control. You configure the level of alerts it provides to you too. 1) Block silently, 2) Let me know always, or 3) Let me know only the serious threats. Updates are 1) automatic or 2) you can be alerted that a new update is available and manually download it for later installation.
This program is way easier to use than Norton Firewall. URL Tracing service is also provided if you are really interested in seeing who is pinging you...
