Norton Internet Security 2004 review

Tuesday 23 March 2004, 11:44 AM

I'm changing product

Well, I am now convinced to not upgrade to 2004. At present I'm still using 2002 which is good except for one thing, after one Live Update I found my PC constantly trying to connect to the Internet during boot up and close down and several times in between. I traced it to SYMPROXY and another Symantec component. Couldn't get any support due to running 2002, even though they were happy to take my subs for the AV and Firewall updates and it was one of those updates that caused the problem.

I've just recieved the free MS Security Update CD and with it there is another CD which is a free year's trial for EZ Armour security suite, AV + Firewall. Norton subs are due next month, I won't be renewing, I'll be trying EZ Armour.

An excellent all-in-one PC defence: Norton Internet Security 2004 is the best all-in-one security suite, thanks to its fine spam filter.

I wonder, who needs .asia domain? I cannot imagine, what would be useful for Microsoft.asia? Toyota.asia? Then let's register .europe (if .eu is too short). Or perhaps Microsoft.southamerica, Dell.australiaandnewzealand, Coca-Cola.africa... Sound funny? Then why not just use the global and country domains? Or perhaps it is time to drop the domains at all?
