Hard to install, won't update, doesn't work
I've used every version of McAfee AV and they all were great...but now this new version 8 is just pure junk.

I've used every version of McAfee AV and they all were great...but now this new version 8 is just pure junk.

VirusScan 8.0 sports a trimmer profile, a simpler interface and fast performance, but support is more of a hassle than before.

Why do so many (virtually all) software packages think that they are so important that they have to be started automatically every time the computer boots? What is the largest number of "speed access", "update check", "camera download" and whatever other background programs you have ever seen running? Of those, how many did you really need?
