LiveUpdate breaks itself?

Symantec manages to Break LiveUpdate by running live update...

I recently had to reinstall Norton antiVirus 2004 ,,
It installed fine and updated twice... obtaining the proper dats and engine.

It then ran automatically and BROKE... Can't start the program... opens-5secs-closes.

I actually repeated the process and manually ran the update the third time... FOOF!!!

There are numerous tricks and traps posted elsewhere on the web. I've tried them.

My humble opinion...
Norton AV 2004 is a POS...

Moving the client to Trend Micro.

Verdict

NAV 2004 is still a good choice for first timers, but its minor improvements mean that NAV 2003 users need not upgrade.
