Norton AntiVirus 2004 review

Friday 19 December 2003, 9:39 PM

Tech support is awful

Product is decent, but if you run into a problem, then you are in a mess. Online support is no good. You will just go in circles looking for solutions. If you want phone support it's only £29.95 per incident. That is ridiculous. If I already paid for the product why should I have to pay £29.95 more because it sucks?

Verdict

NAV 2004 is still a good choice for first timers, but its minor improvements mean that NAV 2003 users need not upgrade.

Featured Talkback

Why do so many (virtually all) software packages think that they are so important that they have to be started automatically every time the computer boots? What is the largest number of "speed access", "update check", "camera download" and whatever other background programs you have ever seen running? Of those, how many did you really need?
