WordPerfect Office X3 Standard Edition review

Wednesday 15 February 2006, 5:43 AM

No one else comes close...

Corel has returned to a winning WordPerfect strategy here: be as wide open as possible, allowing the user a full range of choices. Want fast text-only response with preview mode? OK. Want full WYSIWYG with control over the hidden codes? Great. Want to import that PDF file and edit away? Go for it.

The added features make this the only innovative product on the market. Congrats to Corel for a product that works the way you choose, not just the way they chose.

Verdict

Corel's WordPerfect Office X3 is a very good productivity suite with enough enhancements to warrant an upgrade. Microsoft Office users, though, should wait for Office 12.
