Firefox 1.5 review

Friday 2 December 2005, 9:58 AM

Localisations need to be released quickly

Great alternative browser that even my mum can use! Opera has great features but getting my mum to copy dll's to the pluggin folder is not going to happen Opera need to work on that. Anyway Firefox yes great, same look same slightly more responsive when i turned off support for Ipv6 and the update patch system should be great as long as there are no security issues here!. I just wish the GB language version was out its the 2nd of December and im using the us version, when Firefox release a new browser version all localisations should be released in one go I understood with the patching of the old version 1 this was not always possible due to speed of release issues for security, but this is just poor showing when some people are still waiting.

Verdict

Although Firefox 1.5 isn't too different from the original release, what's new should attract even more Firefox users -- and that's ultimately good for the Internet.
