Some actually address interesting issues concerning, for example, the interface between technology and society, how new technologies come into being, and the stories of the people behind the tech products we all use.

If you're involved in the IT industry, you're probably far too busy managing projects and keeping the business on track to do much horizon-expanding by sitting down with a good technology book. So why not slip one of the titles we've reviewed over the past year or so into your holiday luggage?

Click the check-boxes next to the titles listed below (up to a maximum of four) and hit 'Compare' to see brief summaries of their contents.
