Long Term Support
The new Ubuntu 8.04 LTS (LTS stands for Long Term Support) is available in desktop (supported to 2011) and server (supported to 2013) versions, and features the familiar brown livery. The 8.04 release was code-named Hardy Heron — hence the background artwork.
