Pros

• Free, easy to install and set up
• Calls to other Skype users are free, and calls to non-Skype phones are competitively priced
• Beta 2 adds videoconferencing, toolbars for IE, Firefox and Outlook, contact groups, mood messengers plus avatars, sounds and ring tones

Cons

• Voice quality is mediocre when using SkypeOut and SkypeIn (it gets even worse when uploading files)
