Absolutely unusable
I run IT courses for teachers on a variety of software. My laptop is P4 2GHz 512MB RAM XP (clean install). SP2
The support is criminal. They charge you for reporting bugs in their system -- outrageous.
Specific faults:
Audio effects cause program to crash.
Clicking on clip in storyboard brings up wrong clip in viewer.
Double clicking some clips brings up Pan and Zoom instead of trim tool.
Grungeliser controls could not be accessed.
Program crashes on first attempt at capture. etc etc
This is truly the most unstable bug ridden piece of software I have ever used. When I eventually got through to someone in support after trying their non-working telephone options system, I was told that the problem was caused because I was using a laptop!
Funny but it doesn't mention this in system requirements!
According to the foreign gentleman I spoke to, the problems were caused by:
Graphics memory
Chipset drivers
DirectX version
Anything but their lousy software. It's funny, but I don't have problems running 3D solid modelling CAD programmes. I have uninstalled it and will buy something else. There must be some form of redress within the legal system?
