Acrobat 6.0 Professional review Editors Choice Award

Friday 16 January 2004, 5:21 PM

A BACKWARD STEP!

Text editing in a pdf created from Word or Excel where there was any formatting is miserable. 5 worked much better. It isn't compatible with PaperPort 8 as far as the pdf printer is concerned. If you delete half or more of a, say, 50mb pdf, you still have a 50mb pdf!! I don't like the fact that you can't do simple editing (in ANY version) of tiff files (in my case arch. drawings) like copying and pasting a section within a file. I went back to version 5!!

Verdict

Adobe’s Acrobat 6.0 is an indispensable upgrade for any serious Acrobat user. But individual users should look for a cheaper option.
