Mandrake/Mandriva has from the early start aimed at the ms windows minded people. Therefore they created the MCC (Mandrake Control Center) in the windows Control Panel style.

7.7Mandriva occupies the middle ground between consumer-focused and business-orientated Linux distributions. It's generally well put together, but lacks some details.

Its the applications and device drivers that run on windows that cement its dominance. How many people would fork out hundreds of pounds for Vista if Linux ran all the software and kit they wanted to use.
