Mandriva Linux 2006 review

Thursday 22 December 2005, 3:40 AM

Beginner to Expert

Perfect for ANY user. The true expert will love this product because you don't have to spend lots of hours configuring and compiling the programs you want to use. Beginners will love this because it's that easy. Tired of so-called experts saying Mandriva is for beginners because they are the ones spending 40 to 80 hours installing and configuring a different GNU/Linux distrobution they like, because they think it makes them "men". What a waist of time (and money)!

Verdict

Mandriva occupies the middle ground between consumer-focused and business-orientated Linux distributions. It's generally well put together, but lacks some details.
