I'v been using mandrake (iva) since version 8 and I was fairly happy with it. Now I wasn't able to get my system stable enough to work with it. They included some buggy software (dev release s) which made there system unusable for a daily user who doesn't want to fiddle around with system settings and unsupported packages.

Its the applications and device drivers that run on windows that cement its dominance. How many people would fork out hundreds of pounds for Vista if Linux ran all the software and kit they wanted to use.
