Impressive, well designed OS
Hardware detection is excellent, even my rather new Netgear RangeMax Wireless PC-Card adapter worked right from the start, including WPA-PSK support.
While SUSE offers both the KDE and Gnome desktops (a rarity these days) on one disk, I can't escape the feeling that it's biased towards KDE. SUSE Linux however reduces the differences between the two desktop environments to mainly the UI, as system configuration is all done through SUSE excellent YaST interface.
I personally prefer (K)Ubuntu over SUSE (only marginally), but SUSE will appeal more to those who need holding hand during installation/configuration, as YaST provides clear and concise help during all steps. Like (K)Ubuntu, SUSE performed excellent on my aging Toshiba Portege 7220, with all hardware working fine.
SUSE even automatically shuts down when the battery drops below 3% to avoid data loss/corruption!
Support not rated as I have no experience with SUSE's community support.
