SUSE Linux 10 review

Thursday 2 February 2006, 10:09 AM

Unstable system and bad installation

Ive installed this OS 5 times now, and still it wont run stable though ive tried all sorts of installation options. And if you try to run a full installation it comes up with all sorts of package conflicts (this it should sort by itself like on other Linux systems). When its finally in it hangs and crashes almost every half hour. Stick to Slackware, Fedora or other working distros!

Verdict

SUSE Linux 10 is a full Windows/Microsoft Office replacement on one DVD at a bargain price. Home users could do a lot worse, and even IT managers may learn to love it.
