Dell PowerEdge SC430 review

Friday 17 March 2006, 11:36 AM

Excellent value for money

I've had this server running for a couple of weeks and I've seldom heard a quieter unit. It also delivers on the power and speed. Mine came with the free upgrade to the 2.8Ghz CPU and extra RAM. It munches all I chuck at it. The only downside is the lack of internal expansion and more 5.25" drive bays.

Verdict

This server's solid components, economical price and lack of management software make it most appropriate for budget-minded small businesses with just a few employees.
