On the left is a standard DLP (Digital Light Processing) chip that you might find in a standalone projector or large-screen TV. On the right is a DLP for a projector phone. Although smaller, the chip can still project fairly large images. By putting these chips into phones, Texas Instruments (TI) hopes to make watching video on phones more pleasing — and, of course, sell more chips.
