HP OfficeJet 9130 All-in-One review

Thursday 23 February 2006, 10:34 PM

The 9130N is a big communicator

We have had the 9130 now for over a year and are very pleased with it. It enables us to do anything we could think of doing wit any document: -scan to email, scan to network, print doublesided, scan to network, copy single and doublesided, scan to OCR word document, blacklist faxnumbers, configure using a webinterface, and what we use a lot is scan to email (in PDF); the new way to go since the quality of faxmachines is no longer sufficient.

No serious problems so far, the machine is however big. Definitely not a machine for on the corner of your desk. (doing so is risking the tabel to flip over) ;-)

If you have the space: worthwhile. One note, it is an inktjetprinter. We do also have a laserprinter for the regular prints but this machine is a great way of combining an incredible amount of functions.

Verdict

The 9130's cool new ability to auto-archive images and documents to online folders doesn't outweigh its moderate print quality, but this printer does reproduce photos very well.
