What is Editors' Choice?

An Editors' Choice award signifies that a product is the best in its category. We evaluate products on the quality and appropriateness of their features and whether they offer good value for money. We also examine ease of setup, configuration and use, and note the number and severity of bugs.

Certain product categories are subject to more specific criteria. To receive an Editors' Choice award, a product must demonstrate excellence in most or all of the relevant categories.
