		Sony VAIO VGN-Z11WN/B Beautifully designed and reassuringly robust, the 1.5kg VAIO Z11 marries a decent-sized 13.1in. screen with good portability and integrated 3G/HSDPA. It's not flawless, but if you can afford it, buy it.	25 Nov 2008	8.4		£1403

MacBook Pro has a redesigned aluminium body, a new touchpad with expanded functionality and a dual graphics setup for either longer battery life or better performance. 		Apple MacBook Apple's redesigned 13in. MacBook is essentially a shrunken version of the more expensive 15in. Pro line. 		Lenovo ThinkPad SL500 The ThinkPad SL500 is attractively priced, solidly built and a good performer. We're particularly impressed with the high-resolution 15.4in. screen. However, there are one or two design quirks, the webcam is basic and battery life could be longer.	06 Oct 2008	7.5		£700
