Great replacement for my D830

Have to admit to holding off on buying the E Series. After playing with a couple of customer machines, i knew the time was right to upgrade.

Picked up an outlet machine for a great price and am well pleased with it. Thought it initially felt a little plasticky but after a couple of months use its in as good condition as the day i bought it.

Speedwise it is a demon.

Battery life is great imho (9 cell battery).

Love the bling-like backlight keyboard.

Verdict

The Latitude E6500 is an attractive 15.4in. notebook, not least because you can configure it to closely match your needs. The backlit keyboard is well executed, and we also like the auto-adjusting screen brightness.
