Rugged, Durable, Reliable

Having been the previous owner of both the X30 and X41 Thinkpad machines I was already familiar with the build quality and equipment layout of the Thinkpad product range.

The alteration of the power adapter connection on the unit is unfortunate as it now means I have to carry around another power adapter when I already had spares from my previous Thinkpad machines.

For portability it wins hands down and the standard 4-cell battery provided just under 3 hours of working use. Performance seems to have taken a quantum leap forward with the Core Duo technology from Intel and it really does offer a real contender as a machine to work on all day.

Still a pricey piece of hardware when compared to HP and Dell units, but neither come close on the durability front as this machine is designed as a workhouse not a showroom car.

Overall, Lenovo have continued to build on the previous IBM design model and have kept the trademark matt black alloy effect finish which just says it all really.
