Impressive

I use this for word processing, email, searching the web and for viewing other applications.

It's a pleasure to use and the keyboard is great providing you turn off the function that lets it jump around if you knock the trackpad - easy to do in a rush.

I put more memory in than the 512mb supplied and found that made it quicker by quite a lot.

It does the job and it as hassle free as most Vaios (3rd owned). It also has a tiny footprint, is pretty quiet and lasts a long time on battery - especially if you can take the option to turn off the optical drive.

It's expensive but if you need an ultraportable it's up there with the best.

Verdict

The VAIO VGN-TX2XP/L is as slim, lightweight and elegant as you'd expect a Sony ultraportable notebook to be. It includes an internal DVD rewriter, has a high-contrast widescreen display and delivers 5-hour-plus battery life.

Review Although it's missing some features (chiefly HSDPA and GPS), Nokia's E63 is a well-thought-out, ergonomic and affordable smartphone.
