Great Laptop! Expensive, but a good investment.

I purchased the laptop for college, and it have been absolutely great. It's built solid, and I never have to worry about anything happening to it. It comes with all sorts of add ons from IBM, like there is actually a sensor inside the machine that detects movement, and stops the hard drive in case of a fall. I hear it even has channels under the keyboard to guide liquids away from key components of the system. A friend of mine spilled water on his Dell, it didn't survive, I think an IBM would hold up, but wouldn't want to test it.

It does anything I want it to do, very fast, and extremely light so I don't have to think twice about taking it to the library if needed. The keyboard is the most comfortable I've ever used, much better than even my desktop.

Only downside is the speakers aren't the best, and the screen is ok, but not comparable to say a Sony, and probably wouldn't be a good gaming computer, but I don't do any gaming anyway. For my purposes, this is the best laptop for college. It does everything, and does it fast.

Plus it comes standard with a 3 yr warrenty, with good service, so guarenteed to last me to my senior year!

Verdict

The ThinkPad T43 puts new components inside its tried-and-tested case, but the updated parts fail to match its predecessor on either performance or battery life.

Review Although it's missing some features (chiefly HSDPA and GPS), Nokia's E63 is a well-thought-out, ergonomic and affordable smartphone.
