I have the 1501LM (3000+ CPU, no floppy and no 802.11g) and have been delighted. Apart from eating the battery when "using" the GPU (playing games - lasts 2 hours tops) it runs fast and solid, and the screen is bright, clear and has a good angle of visibility.
Acer notebooks are available MUCH cheaper on the direct Website...
