HP Compaq NX9005 review

Pretty much a desktop replacement.

The only tasks that I still perform on my desktop are in depth graphics manipulation, and detailed debugging --and in both cases it's so I can use my 21in. screen. Otherwise this machine is great -- the screen is large enough to be usable even for a multi-window browser like myself, the keyboard is acceptable (though I do miss the numeric pad) and I particularly like the touchpad off button. I can't comment on the quality of support for this product as I haven't needed any -- it worked out of the box and I've had no difficulties with it since it arrived.

Verdict

The NX9005 has almost everything you need in a business notebook, for a realistic price. One or two aspects could be improved, but this is a respectable offering.
