Dell Inspiron 8600 review Editors Choice Award

Friday 4 June 2004, 11:54 PM

Great-value, great-performing, branded laptop

After spending near 2 full days looking for a laptop that would both have decent battery life and good performance for years to come, the Dell stood out. Combined with the ATI M10, the only laptop coming close was the Acer Aspire 2023WMLi. However, the Dell won because of its high-res 1920 x 1200 screen. Combined with large-point, more detailed fonts, this makes for the best text viewing experience.
