Your review is poor. It says OK provided you know its limitations. Its limitations can be seen from the specifications, so that to point them out is stating the obvious. What one really wants to know is how well does it perform within those limitations. My experience is that so far it is OK, but I lack a laboratory to carry out tests.

7.3Given its sub-£500 (ex. VAT) price, the Satellite Pro A10 is pretty impressive. Choose it if you need a budget notebook for everyday tasks -- but be aware of its limitations.

Put simply, what is the compelling reason to pay ~$200 extra for an Eee with Windows XP? A Windows Eee won't come with any useful applications and you'll have to buy anti-virus software to boot. The truth about low cost computing is that nobody really cares whether the machine is running Windows or Linux as long as its cheap, its easy to use and it works.
