Fujitsu Siemens LifeBook S-6120 review

Friday 1 July 2005, 7:54 PM

Unobtrusive and sufficiently sized for daily work

A very good machine for work and internet allthough battery life is only 3 hours when screen set to light - the size is excellent, not too small and yet portable - the weight just light enough for travel (alltough the stated 1.7kgs is without optical drive!).

The price of 1500€ is ok considering the 3-years worldwide guarantee, and the build suggests it will last that long.

Keys are slightly shallow, but stable, but as the are white it is easy to use in low-light conditions and makes the entire machine much more attractive to use
The screen is very good and has less than 1cm edge, which means the overall size is minimal and fits into 12" computer bags!

Verdict

The S-6120 is an attractively designed sub-2kg notebook with exemplary mainstream performance. However, demanding applications could be held back by its integrated graphics, battery life is disappointing and the price is on the high side.

£ 1499
