In just over 3 years I've had to have the case repaired and an intermittent fault corrected. Sony advised that the latter was due to defective memory. £220 later I still have the fault. Memory chips don't cost £220 so I don't see why it is so expensive to maintain. In future I'll buy a cheap machine and junk it when it fails.
