Toshiba Satellite Pro 6000 review

Thursday 27 May 2004, 9:19 PM

TERRIBLE LAPTOP

This laptop has failed 7 times since I bought it 1 year ago, 7 is not an exageration, that's how many times the power board and system board has failed, requiring it to be send for repair -- Toshiba REFUSES to issue a replacement laptop, instead, about once a month, it fails, and I have to have it sent it for a motherboard and powerboard replacement. I will NEVER again buy a Toshiba product simply because the company refuses to stand behind their products and replace my laptop with a different model.

Verdict

The relatively affordable price, modular drive bay, comfortable keyboard and good battery life are enough to tip the balance in favour of the latest Satellite Pro. There are a few niggles and it could be faster, but on the whole it's a hit.

Nokia E63

Review Although it's missing some features (chiefly HSDPA and GPS), Nokia's E63 is a well-thought-out, ergonomic and affordable smartphone.
