Hi-Grade Notino 2200 review

Tuesday 23 August 2005, 1:53 PM

Great specification, terrible quality and service

Hi-grade lets itself down on quality of product and does not have the service to back it up. Notino notebooks have great spec compared to others on the market for the price. Out of the package they also perform well. In the past 3 years I have had two laptops, both of which have had serious problems.

Notino 2200 I owned for 1 year and was with Hi-grade more than with me: power problem, modem problem, motherboard problem, screen intermittent. I had to battle to even get a demo version to use whilst being repaired. Finally replaced.

Here demonstrated dreadful service. 2200 was discontinued, leaving me with no option but a heavy alternative. I had to then PAY to upgrade the computer to a different model! Despite problems experienced. No one in Hi-grade was willing to take responsibility.

Have had 6700 for a little under 2 years. This has also had a series of problems, including screen and hard drive.

Please do not get tempted by the price on Hi-grade computers. Spend a little more and purchase a reputable make. You are likely to spend more in the long term.

The Notino 2200 packs more features into a sub-2kg system than any other ultraportable we've reviewed, and delivers good value for money too.

Review Although it's missing some features (chiefly HSDPA and GPS), Nokia's E63 is a well-thought-out, ergonomic and affordable smartphone.
