That's actually a very poor computer by the standards of the day that we're living in now, but four years ago it was quite good computer and that's why I put my marks as I did it. But if you're going to buy a new computer tomorrow, don't buy this computer. It's days are counted.

Good value if you want a reasonably portable all-in-one notebook for running mainstream rather than demanding applications.

Put simply, what is the compelling reason to pay ~$200 extra for an Eee with Windows XP? A Windows Eee won't come with any useful applications and you'll have to buy anti-virus software to boot. The truth about low cost computing is that nobody really cares whether the machine is running Windows or Linux as long as its cheap, its easy to use and it works.
