Vodafone can't win

I have just skimmed your review and I am stuck on a phrase of the review essentially that, and I'm paraphrasing "It's a shame that these devices have been launched before widespread coverage of high-speed 3.5G coverage"

We have these devices and I am quite frankly glad vodafone has launched the devices now for two reasons,
1. we can purchase these devices rather than purchase the slower versions which we would needlessly have to scrap in 12 months
2. we can make use of the highspeed coverage now and while it improves, how often are our employees waiting in airports working? very often...

Vodafone can't win, if they'd wait for coverage we'd moan, if they release early we moan, but releasing early - as long as the purchased device is ready - is the lesser of two evils.

oh, here's the review, on a Windows XP Pro PC with administrative privileges you plug it in and it just works, it installs the drivers and gets on with it.. without a comparative product I can't honestly review the performance, it feels nice in the hand and sturdy yet light and it connects to the internet and I can connect with a VPN back to the office: what more do you want?

Verdict

Vodafone's USB Modem 7.2 and USB Modem Stick support the latest 3.5G networks. It's a shame, then, that high-speed network coverage is so sparse.

Review Although it's missing some features (chiefly HSDPA and GPS), Nokia's E63 is a well-thought-out, ergonomic and affordable smartphone.
