Vodafone Dongle

I recently bought a vodafone 3mb dongle.Regretfully I am not a fan after using it.I am a partially sighted user and vodafone gave me such a bad ownership experience that I am reluctant to recommend the service to anyone.
the box terms and conditions are not readable by anyone with vision impairment.the surposed disablility hot line was inaccessable spending over six popunds trying to get through to someone who could help me before giving up!

The service is greatly impaired by a very unhelpful site barring peace of software which does not allow you to browser the internet in any meaningful way blocking everything from social networking sites to e-mail and shopping sites. The area manager for vodafone explained to me the difficulties unblocking the service as impossible for partially sighted people and advised me that vodafone had had so many compliants about this policy.

The dongle supports Mac ubantu and windows.Opensolaris/unix users will have to wait for compatablity software to co enside with the release of Toshiba' new business range of laptops later in the year.
The dongle design is similar to other operators however speed is down to location time and weather. You should acheive up to 3G + or down to GPRS in some poor signal areas.

This expensive poorly produced product which Vodafone really needs to repackage to be competative.

Verdict

Vodafone's Mobile Connect USB Modem couldn't be easier to install, delivers solid 3G data communications and is straightforward to configure. It's also smaller and easier to carry than a PC Card, and requires minimal technical competence to use.

Review Although it's missing some features (chiefly HSDPA and GPS), Nokia's E63 is a well-thought-out, ergonomic and affordable smartphone.
