Too little too late

The connection software is unstable, build quality of the unit is poor, support is none existent, definate lack of UMTS coverage anywhere outside of an area where you would find 802.11, no DNS information once connected, in an area where microcells are present the connection goes haywire attempting to hand-over. I would use a GPRS handset and Bluetooth to laptop instead as a backup where 802.11 is not present.

O2 Data Card 3G/GPRS

Verdict

O2 follows Vodafone, Orange and T-Mobile into the 3G market with a data card offering broadband connectivity on the move. Like T-Mobile and Vodafone, O2 adds Wi-Fi access to the 3G/GPRS connectivity bundle. However, you'll need an O2 phone to handle the Wi-Fi billing.

Review Although it's missing some features (chiefly HSDPA and GPS), Nokia's E63 is a well-thought-out, ergonomic and affordable smartphone.
