O2 Data Card 3G/GPRS review

Unreliable connection software backed by poor support

Bough the data card from an O2 store. It came with 2 SIMs -- GSM and 3G. GSM was enabled (giving GPRS only) had to return to store to get correct 3G SIM enabled. Customer services ill informed, connection to 3G unreliable (in City, London!). Connection software liable to hang and need killing. On turning on laptop it takes up to 15 minutes for the card to find the network, and then seems to revert to GPRS more often than not. I will be returning my card back to O2 for a refund.

Overview

O2 Data Card 3G/GPRS

Editors rating
Rating: 8.0
Verdict

O2 follows Vodafone, Orange and T-Mobile into the 3G market with a data card offering broadband connectivity on the move. Like T-Mobile and Vodafone, O2 adds Wi-Fi access to the 3G/GPRS connectivity bundle. However, you'll need an O2 phone to handle the Wi-Fi billing.
