The Linkstation is a great home NAS

Bought this and thought that it is a great home NAS. Performance is a little under what I expected but not too slow. You can still stream music and video with no problem from the device.

I think the best bit is the fact that the Linux OS can be easily unlocked with firmware from linkstationwiki.net. This allowed me to install ssh and a command line bittorrent. I can now leave this device on to do my downloading of legal content of course. Its low in power consumption so a great solution for those who do not like to leave their PC's on all the time.

Good stuff!

Buffalo's LinkStation is a great low-cost solution for adding storage and a print server to a home or small-business network.
