Easiest video-conference for cheap!
Good video, excellent audio (if you hook up a phone). Once it's hooked up and working, it offers super-simple operation -- even grandma can use it! Getting the unit to work through a router can be A LOT TRICKIER than the folks at D-Link would like to admit. Even if you have a D-Link router with the "one-click" setup for the DVC-1000, it may still not work. They have published "alternate" procedures on their Web site, including using DMZ.
One more thing - D-Link advertises 24/7 tech support for the DVC-1000....this is at best a stretch....8-5 Pacific Time (mon-fri only) is when you can get the "i2eye" team. At all other times you will be transferred to a D-Link router support center, and trust me -- they don't know jack about the DVC-1000.
Installation issues aside - the product is great, relatively inexpensive and easy to use.
