Good product, bad documentation and support

I've received my EFG80 a couple of days ago, and have found the documentation to be very bad, and the phone support no better. Out of the box, the device had a couple of problems, nothing apparently serious, but nowhere could I find references to the error messages I was given, let alone the required fix. It became even more frustrating when the EFG80 was instructing me to perform an operation for which there was no control of any sort, or no mention of in the on-line help or in the documentation.

All this is really a shame because I'm still convinced that the EFG80 is a good deal... now all I need is an 8-inch crystal ball to figure out on my own how to make it work well.

P.S. A note to the Linksys support people: turning the equipment off and then back on is not the only thing one can do to fix a problem.
