Does everything it needs to do unobtrusively

Router, Cable Broadband interface, Wireless LAN, DHCP server, Firewall, Ethernet switch, only tea-making seems to be beyond it.

Easy to set-up and then it just works. HTML front-end makes it platform independent (supporting MacOS, RISC OS and Windows here). Good product!

Verdict

For cable modem users at least, the WBR-G54 will allow wired and wireless PCs to connect to the Internet with some degree of protection. Although it may need updating once the 802.11g standard is ratified, it's still fast for wireless.
