Netgear DG814 DSL Modem Internet Gateway review

Friday 10 October 2003, 3:49 PM

Does exactly what it says on the box.

For a sub-£100 piece of kit (which it is in places now), it does everything it claims to. Took less than 5 mins to setup (without the need to install any software). Makes port forwarding a doddle -- Integrated NAT firewall does its job (and is as easily turned off as setting the time to GMT if not wanted).

I've found this to be reliable for Half-Life and Quake, even when other machines are using the connection... Good Stuff...
