Blackberry 8120

The 8120 is a good upgrade from the 8100, with the addition of Wi-Fi and hopefully the resolvement of the problematic tracker ball. I like the concept of Blackberry but was never a fan of the full qwerty keyboard models (8800 & 8300), the 8100/8120 is a model that can (and will) appeal to nearly every market.

The Pearl design itself was a good step forward for Blackberry, now if they can add another mega-pixel (3.2MP??) and sneak in some HSDPA 3G, it would be almost perfect.

Verdict

If you're looking for a sleek and phone-like BlackBerry, the upgraded Pearl 8120 does a competent job. Wi-Fi support is welcome, but we'd prefer 3G connectivity as well.

Review Although it's missing some features (chiefly HSDPA and GPS), Nokia's E63 is a well-thought-out, ergonomic and affordable smartphone.
