15 months and counting
Having actively used my E61i for about 15 months, I am pleased to report that it is going strong and working fine. As a work phone, the features are much better than previous smartphones and PDAs I have had. It is certainly wider than most phones, but significantly thinner than most PDAs.
It has push-email for Outlook synchronisation that works fine. The keyboard is the best I have used and fine for emails as well as texts. the 320x240 screen is clear, although not touchscreen. I have played videos on it, and the sound quality is excellent - with the right headphones.
I tried the Nokia GPS with a bluetooth GPS receiver, but the processor is too slow to make it useful. Also, even though the maps are free, the navigation software is relatively expensive to use.
The microSD slot will only recognise up cards up to 2GB - too little.
The bluetooth seems to have a problem with a number of car and satnav systems - both BMW and Garmin to my knowledge, making car use frustrating.
Overall functional, reliable but unexciting.
